Your User Profile

Your profile is a folder on a shared location on the network that contains your software settings, Favorites, printer settings and most other Windows settings. Profiles copied down to the computer when you log in. On occasion it may be necessary to reset a corrupt profile in which case all settings will be lost. If programs continually crash, resetting your profile may be necessary. Please come to 359a and we can take care of that for you.

If AutoCAD won't start correctly....

If you're having trouble getting AutoCAD to load, you can reset that portion of the profile yourself.

  1. Close AutoCAD
  2. Go to the Resources folder on GTCOA: \\gtcoa.coa.ad.gatech.edu\Resources (link only works in Internet Explorer) and go to the AutodeskFix folder.
  3. Double-Click the AutodeskFix.reg File in the folder
  4. When it asks you if you are sure you want to import the file into the registry, Click Yes.
  5. Restart AutoCAD
