COURSE OVERVIEW
COA 1012 is the second of two design studios in the Common First Year curriculum. It builds on media and process skills learned in COA 1011. This supervised studio class meets for two 4-1/2 hour sessions, and one hour-long lecture each week. The course continues to build skills in seeing, describing, and imagining the designed, built and lived environment. It expands both the scale and the scope of design inquiry.
