What can my advisor help me with?
Your advisor is your most valuable resource to assure the success of your academic experience.
Your academic advisor can help you:
- Plan what courses to take and the order in which to take them;
- Discuss specialization tracks;
- Select free electives;
- Plan a study abroad experience;
- Improve time management and study skills;
Most important, your advisor will help you stay on track to graduate with a positive academic
experience. Plan to visit with your advisor often!
Academic advisement is decentralized in the College of Architecture, with each academic program offering its advisement program. Information on each program is listed below.
Common First Year (CFY) students are encouraged to seek advisement from the academic advisor(s) for the undergraduate program(s) they are interested in. In addition CFY students are encouraged to meet with Professor Sabir Khan, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and Director, Common First Year.
