CoA Building Policies

Building Access

The Architecture Buildings are accessible year round and around the clock through any of the exterior doors equipped with electronic card readers.

This includes all the ground level exterior doors and the 2nd and 3rd floor exterior doors in the New building. The exterior doors are automatically unlocked at 7:30 a.m. and locked down at 8:30p.m., Monday thru Friday.

Weekend hours, the exterior doors in the New building only are automatically unlocked at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and locked down at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday they are unlocked at 12:00 p.m. and locked down at 6:00 p.m.

During breaks, the doors are unlocked at 7:30 a.m. and locked down at 7:30 p.m. On holidays, the doors are locked down until classes resume.

Incoming students must be added to the Buzz Card security system. This can be done in the Computer Lab Assistant's Office Room 359a of the New building or you can use this on-line form .

Buzz card information can also be emailed to: security@coa.gatech.edu .

If a card is lost or stolen and a new card is issued, the new number will have to be entered into the system to allow for access into the building.
