Alumni Committee

The College of Architecture Alumni Committee works with College leadership, faculty, students and staff to promote communication and interaction among the group. Lead by a Board of Directors comprised of representatives of each discipline within the College, the committee organizes and supports special events and long-term initiatives with the goal of “Connecting alumni together and to the College of Architecture”

Over the past few years, the committee has worked to promote and expand participation in the Alumni Mentoring Program.  Established as a hassle-free opportunity for interested students to interact with seasoned alumni the program grows with each academic year as more alumni sign-up to serve as mentors and more students are made aware of the opportunity.  The Alumni Committee has also sponsored the Dean’s Symposium on Profession Practice and hosted Alumni-Student Pizza Socials. The socials have become a casual opportunity for alumni to network with students and to introduce students to the activities of the alumni committee – in particular the Alumni Mentoring Program.

2008 Alumni Committee Board

In 2008 the Board of Directors (shown above) has recommitted themselves to reaching out in new and different ways to the over 8,000 alumni of the College.   By refocusing on its core mission - connecting alumni to one another and to the College - the committee leadership wants to foster alumni relationships that meaningful and beneficial to alumni and the college alike.
