The course will provide in-depth discussion about accommodations that can be constructed, installed, or implemented to enhance an individual’s safety and function in the workplace. It will build upon the basic understanding course by providing instruction on identifying specific accommodations for common problem areas in the workplace. This course will provide an overview of functional barriers commonly experienced in the workplace, legal and policy issues that affect provision of services, and AT and universal design strategies to improve performance of work activities. The course will provide resources for assessing, identifying and implementing accommodation needs.
