Erika Gomez was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia where she earned a Bachelor's degree with honors in Industrial Design at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. In 1997 she moved to the US and obtained an MSA in Industrial Design from Georgia Tech where she also taught freshmen and sophomore design studio. She worked for two years in the Packaging Development and Design department in Coca-Cola before moving to a position of Senior Design Manager in the Licensing group. During the following 5 years, she was in charge
of global product development and design direction for the European Region. Most recently, she traveled around South East Asia for 6 months in her quest to know the world better and now works as a design consultant and freelancer.
