| Synopsis: |
Second Church of Christ, Scientist, Atlanta, a late work of Atlanta architect Joseph Amisano, is slated for demolition. This article provides a brief historical account of the edifices built for Second Church in its various locations, with a brief commentary on the establishment of Christian Science in Atlanta, and on the "brutalist" aesthetic of the soon-to-be-razed Amisano building in Buckhead. |
