By focusing on the issues and problems in the Atlanta
region, the four speakers will discuss the status and future of the
region, with special attention on equity, the economy and the environment.
The overall theme is an exploration of the interplay between suburbs and
centers, including the leadership required to manage this interplay – how
it is or should be organized to achieve mutually beneficial and sustaining
outcomes for both centers and for suburbs.

Mr. Mike Dobbins, Visiting Associate Professor,
Georgia Institute of Technology
Mr. Yaro, Mr. Farmer, and Mr. Dobbins will share their observations
on our regional issues from a national perspective and propose some
possible solutions. The audience will be encouraged to provide comments
and suggestions on the problems and potential solutions to regional
equity, economies, and environments in the U.S. and, in particular, in
Atlanta.
