Dr. Zhaohua Wang, Ph.D.
Dr. Wang has been working on research projects for the past 7 years to improve transportation infrastructure management with special focus on highway pavement management system applying technologies including Information Technology (IT), Geographic Information System (GIS), Global Positioning System (GPS), image pattern recognition and optimization methods. Several projects he involved have been successfully developed and implemented for Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). He is currently working on several on-going projects sponsored by GDOT. He received his PhD at Tsinghua University in China in 1999. Before he joined Georgia Institute of Technology, he had worked as a lecturer at Tsinghua University for two years.
