Lisa Jackson
Lisa is an Information Analyst III at the Center for GIS. She is currently working on projects that involve creating detailed maps of Georgia Tech property and preparing data to be used by CNN for web and broadcast election maps.
Prior to joining Georgia Tech in September 2007, Lisa was the GIS Program Coordinator for the GIS Campus Mapping Project at the University of Georgia in Athens. During the nine years she worked in the University Architects’ department she gained valuable experience working with campus planners and architects on a variety of projects including campus master plan development, building construction, utility documentation and site analysis. Lisa worked with other UGA departments on the ongoing initiative to collect important site data for the 45,000 acres of UGA properties throughout the state. She was involved in all aspects of the project including project management, database development, interactive campus map design and development, programming and training.
Lisa is a member of Georgia URISA. She has a background in art and design and enjoys working on creative GIS projects involving cartography and 3d visualizations of geographic data.
