Students from Alan Harp and Kevin Shankwiler's Bamboo Materials class pose on a great climbing tree at the Bamboo Farm and Coastal Gardens. The students made the trip to the gardens to learn more about the properties of bamboo. Dr. Stephen Garton led the group on a fact and fun filled tour of the facility just outside of Savannah.

A group of students from the ID Senior Furniture Studio visited Georgia Chair in Gainesville to see methods of solid wood production. Harry Bagwell (holding chair) gave the students an inside look into the production, finishing and marketing involved in chair production.
