The Spring Senior Industrial Design studio class took a field trip to Georgia Chair in Gainesville on Jan 31st. Harry Bagwell (in navy jacket) took the students around the facility illustrating different techniques used in the manufacture of solid oak furniture. Here, Harry shows the students an older molder that has been in faithful use for many years at the plant.	In the steam bending room, affectionately called the "hurry up and wait" room, Mr. Bagwell points out the process of steam bending to the students. The bending process is used to form the seat backs of their chairs.
