Machine Processes Electrical Load Study

Georgia Institute of Technology's Advanced Wood Products Laboratory (AWPL) and Southern Company Services, Inc. (SCS) are conducting a cooperative research project to measure electrical load for secondary wood processing machine centers at the laboratory.

The purpose of the study is to establish baseline information for electrical consumption and cost data detail for secondary wood processing centers related to the AWPL machines.

The Research and Development Electrical Load Study project is planned to extend over a 12-month period with the option for extension to build a long-term database and to allow inclusion of future machine centers as units are added or replaced on the factory floor.
