Moulder/Grinder Operations Workshop

This course is intended for shop foremen, knife grinders and moulder operators. It is designed to assist new and experienced operators to become more proficient in the grinding and moulding operation.

About This Course

This interactive workshop includes both classroom and machine-side instruction. Students attending this course will learn the basics of profile grinding (grind axial-constant, basic template making, cutter head set-up) and set up operation for SCMI Moulders. Hands on exercises include creating templates, grinding knives using templates and knife balancing and positioning. Each student will have the opportunity to test profiles and run final production on the moulder.
