Introductory Programming and Operation for ArtCAM Pro

This course is intended for designers, programmers or other individuals who are responsible for programming parts on a CNC machining center using ArtCAM Pro software.  It is designed specifically to teach the basics necessary to design and produce 2D and 3D models in ArtCAM Pro.

 

About This Course

The objective of this course is to gain broad working knowledge of programming with ArtCAM Pro as it relates to creating 2D and 3D models from different sources such as images, vectorised data and manual creation of geometry.  Topics include 2D Geometry creation, Relief-Creation Techniques and CNC Tooling technology.  This interactive workshop begins with 3 days of intensive classroom instruction using ArtCAM Pro.  After the 3 days of classroom training are complete, a forth day of training will focus on tooling, tooling technology and CNC-machining examples of ArtCAM Pro projects. 

 

Prerequisite skills:

Participants should possess working knowledge of the Windows Operating System (Win2000 or higher). Web browsing and email DO NOT count as working knowledge. Skills required are: Screen Navigation and File Management (Copy, Paste, Rename, New Folder, etc). This is a computer based class and participants should be comfortable with the use of the mouse (click, double-click, right-click). The participant should also be familiar with architectural concepts and 2-D drawings. This course is not recommended for any individual not having prior CAD experience.
