The laboratory acts as a demonstration center to acquaint the wood products manufacturing industry with CAD/CAM driven automated wood products manufacturing. Contractual relationships will be undertaken to advance utilization of new secondary wood production techniques through specific applications of CNC technology as well as computer simulations for the optimization of work flow. AWPL will document the cost benefit of the application of advanced technology and the fit of said technology within their specific manufacturing context.
