Monica Torres is a Visiting Lecturer at Georgia Institute of Technology and currently a Senior Designer at one of the leading architectural firms in Atlanta Georgia, U.S.A.

She teaches architectural studio traversing a range of design issues including tectonics, environmental architecture, the design process, studies of form and the built environment, green architecture.

Monica Torres has a wide background in the field of architecture; she got her first 6 years degree in architecture at the University of Tucuman, Argentina, where she has lived for several years. And has also studied architecture in Italy as part of an exchange with the University of Palermo Sicily.

She has worked on several architectural firms in the U.S.A. as well as in Argentina, where she has practice the profession for several years. She has taught architectural studio at the National University of Tucuman, Argentina from 1995 to 2004. One of the leading architectural schools in the north of Argentina.

She currently works at Stanley Beaman & Sears focusing primarily on healthcare and Lab design as well as LEED and Green design. She received her 6 years architectural degree from the University of Tucuman, Argentina on 1985 and a Master of Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia, and U.S.A. on 1988.

She has worked in the offices of Scogin Elam and Bray, Lord Aeck and Sargent, and Stanley Beaman & Sears completing several award winning and published projects. She has worked also in several International firms in Argentina as Fluor Daniel SADE, and Lybra International Group completing projects on Europe and the Middle East.
