Harris Dimitropoulos received a M. Arch from the Georgia Institute of Technology, in 1984, a Ph.D from the Aristoteleion University, Thessaloniki, Greece in 1983 and a B. Arch N.T.U., Athens, Greece, 1977. In addition to his architectural education he received formal art education from 1970 to 1983.
He has taught art, design and theory courses in Europe and in the United States. He is currently Associate Professor in the Architecture Program at the Georgia Institute of Technology where he has taught since 1985.
His architectural and art work has been exhibited in Europe and in the United Stats and his project "Bastilles" was chosen for the commemoration of the Bicentennial of the French Revolution in 1989. His current interests involve issues of representation and aesthetics especially as they pertain to digital media.
