The Urban Design Specialization offers students in the M.C.R.P.
Program opportunities to focus on urban design policies, programs
and processes in planning and urban development. Courses emphasize
the four inter-related and interdisciplinary bodies of knowledge
central to the field of urban design: urban history and urban design
theory; urban and real estate economics and development; planning
policy and implementation methods, and urban design studies in studios
and workshops. Students also have the opportunity to study in the
graduate summer program – Modern
Architecture and the Modern City: Paris, The Netherlands, Barcelona,
Schandinavia.
