Modern
Architecture and the Modern City: Paris, The Netherlands, Berlin
This program, in existence since 1991, is a summer foreign study
program for graduate students in architecture, urban design and
planning. The program includes residence in each of the three cities
for approximately two weeks in addition to other excursions, most
recently for a week in Barcelona. The program focuses on modern
and contemporary architecture, urban design and landscape architecture,
with lectures, seminars, project visits and tours.
Center
for Quality Growth and Regional Development
The Center for Quality Growth and Regional Development is a newly
formed research-oriented organization within the College of Architecture.
It will become a nationally prominent interdisciplinary research
center, with a focus on growth, development, planning and design
issues in the Atlanta region and a laboratory for the study of the
contemporary city.
Architecture
Library
The College of Architecture Library, serving as an interdisciplinary
resource, is conveniently located in the Architecture Building.
The library's collections includes the leading architecture,
planning and urban design periodicals and an extensive reference
section. The Library also houses a computer cluster with conventional
and oversize scanning capability.
