This course Territories of Appropriation is an inquiry into creative philosophies and practices which explore reflexive, mutable and responsive approaches within design processes and productions of space and form. It explores creative ways territories are appropriated through these responsive design approaches especially within the complex spaces of the contemporary urban environment. The creative philosophies and practices examined in the course are diverse in the range of scales, i.e. from the scale of the body explored in installation art to the scale of urban infrastructure, but are similar in their responsive approaches when dealing with space and form.
