This seminar focuses on the evolution of modern and contemporary architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning in three European cities and surrounds Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin. While open to all graduate students, this seminar is a prerequisite to the Graduate Summer Study Abroad Program. As a foundation for more advanced on site research abroad, the primary purpose of this seminar is to provide graduate students a platform from which to complete a rigorous study abroad experience, collectively and individually, based first-hand observation of the most important examples of modern and contemporary architecture and urban planning in Europe.
