The two closest visitor parking lots are located on Ferst Drive across from the intersection of Ferst and State Streets (State St. Lot) and between State St. and Atlantic Dr. on Peachtree Place, the North Campus Parking Deck. [Note: The cost for parking is $.50 per half hour or $8 per calendar day.]
From I-75 Southbound or I-85 Southbound, take the Techwood Drive, 14th/10th Street exit and cross over 14th St. staying in the right lane (10th St. West/Ga Tech ramp) which ends at 10th Street. Turn right onto 10th Street. Take a left onto State Street. You have 2 choices, you can: (1) take a left onto Peachtree Place to park in the North Campus Parking Deck, or (2) continue on State until it ends; cross over Ferst Drive directly into the visitor parking lot.
From I-75/I-85 Northbound, take the 10th Street/14th Street/Georgia Tech exit. Turn left onto 10th Street. Take a left onto State Street. You have 2 choices, you can: (1) take a left onto Peachtree Place to park in the North Campus Parking Deck, or (2) continue on State until it ends; cross over Ferst Drive directly into the visitor parking lot.
From North Avenue, toward Georgia Tech from downtown, cross the I-85 overpass and take a right onto Techwood, proceed to Fifth (Ferst) Street and take a left. Stay in the left-hand lane. Proceed to the intersection of State Street and Ferst Drive. Take a left into the parking lot off Ferst Drive or take a right onto State Street to the North Campus Parking Deck.
The College of Architecture is located on Fourth Street, just a short walk from the visitor parking lots.
From the State St. Visitors Lot: Facing Ferst Drive from the parking lot, walk to your right. Take a right onto Atlantic Drive, walk down this street and the College of Architecture will be on your left at the end of Atlantic Drive as you turn onto Fourth Street.
From the North Campus Parking Deck: Exit onto Atlantic Drive -- follow this street until it dead ends into Fourth Street. You will see the College on the left as you turn onto Fourth St.
Walking Directions from the Visitor Parking Lot to the Heffernan House: Turn right from the parking lot and continue walking to 166 Fifth Street. Ferst Drive becomes Fifth Street after you cross Fowler.
