All undergraduate students enrolled at Georgia Tech are required to own a computer and to configure their systems in compliance with the institute's guidelines. The campus requirement is established by the Student Computer Ownership Committee and it reviewed and updated annually.

Each year the
Student Computing Ownership
committee publishes software/hardware guidelines that students can reference when purchasing and configuring their computers. The guidelines outline minimum hardware requirements for desktop and laptop systems and details the standardized software suite supported by campus. In addition, the brochure describes additional technology services offered to Georgia Tech students as well as an FAQ section

Financial Considerations
On
request, a one-time $1500 adjustment
can be made to a student's Cost of Attendance for purposes of determining his or her eligibility for student financial assistance. A receipt showing computer purchase costs will be required at the start of the first term. Additional information can be found on the financial aid website
