Hardware
Most of the computers used in the College of Architecture are Windows-based machines with a few Macintosh machines spread throughout. Most of our desktop computers are made by Dell, many with Canon scanners and all with multimedia-card readers. Our servers are mainly Compaq and Hewlett-Packard and our complement of printers and plotters are made by Canon and Hewlett-Packard.
Software
As noted above, our labs are mainly PC-based with a large complement of GIS, CAD, 3-D modeling, graphic design and layout, web design and project management software packages from such companies as Adobe, AutoDesk, ESRI, and Microsoft in addition to many others. Some software is available through the manufacturers for student download at a greatly reduced price or for free. See a complete list of the software supported by the College.opens in new window
